Worth knowing now rather than after you have moved a household onto it.
- Not a calendar application
- There is no event creation, no invitations, no attendees and no free/busy. exceptwhen derives a calendar from rules; it does not accept events you type in, and it will not replace the calendar app you already use.
- Not a solver
- It resolves which of your rules wins on a given day. It does not search for a schedule, balance fairness, or fill a rota. Shift coverage and league fixtures are constraint problems and this is not one.
- Not a legal authority
- The output is one recorded interpretation of a document, bound to the clause it came from. It is not advice and it is not a ruling about what your document means.
- Read-only, one direction
- Calendars subscribe to a published feed. Nothing you or anyone else changes in a calendar app comes back, because an event edited there has no rule behind it and no place in the model.
- Not a notification channel
- Calendar subscriptions are pull. Your app decides when to refresh and that is usually hours. Anything same-day needs a different route to the people involved.
- No AI deciding your schedule
- Nothing in the resolution path is a model. Rules are read, ranked and applied the same way every time, and every published instant names the rule that produced it.
